The purpose of the BI Developer will be to develop, deploy, and maintain BI interfaces. Those include query tools, data visualization and interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, and data modelling tools that turn data into knowledge by ultimately, you will enhance Music Tribe business intelligence system to help us make better decisions.

Role overview:

• Setting business requirements for BI tools as the BI Dev will drive the number of reporting facilities, its forms, and additional functionality.?
• Translating business requirements into technical ones by articulating tasks that cover a user interface and reporting capabilities.?
• Leading BI software development, deployment, and maintenance (Power BI).?
• Report curation and data modelling. The BI Dev will be accountant for controlling how the data is queried, if it’s valid, and how reporting works.?
• Participation in data warehouse design.?
• Documenting contents in a data warehouse and meta-data storage. ?
• Creating technical documentation for BI tools. This documentation covers the scope of usage for usual users and tech. staff, e.g. API documentation, known technical issues, etc.

Operations?

• Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)?
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting?
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems?
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems?
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses?
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects?
• Develop and update technical documentation

Experience and skills required

• Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL), Critical Thinking, R or Python-Statistical Programming, Data Visualization, Presentation Skills.?
• Strong Data Mapping skills, knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts, Logical Modelling Skills.?
• Strong Business Analyst skills including process mapping, requirements gathering, stakeholder management?
• Proficient in Power BI, experience developing customer BI products or configuring existing ones.?
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework?
• Software engineering skills, experience dealing with security issues, data access, permissions, updates, and maintenance of the whole platform?
• Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)?
• Debugging/troubleshooting

Ideally you will have:

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.?
• Previous experience deploying Power BI in Azure stack.?
• Data Science experience.

Azure stacks: Synapse, Power BI, Power Automate, Azure Storage Explorer, Azure Datalake Gen-2 , Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Studio), Python/R, MDM Profisee (a plus), Azure D365
