Job Description

Carrier is a leading provider of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, building controls and automation, and fire and security systems leading to safer, smarter, sustainable and high-performance buildings.

Carrier is looking for multiple self-motivated engineers with expertise in data collection and analysis and with broad experience in embedded systems design.

These positions will be located at Gda?sk R&D Center. The candidate(s) will typically develop/deploy/demonstrate HVAC-related data analytics algorithms for Carrier products, conduct inter-disciplinary modeling analysis, and explore design-for-service innovative concepts.

The candidate(s) will be expected to work in teams in a professional environment and collaborate globally with colleagues from various Carrier business divisions.

There are three potential positions to be filled with grade levels spanning from Junior to Senior engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and demonstrate data analytics algorithms for HVAC&R-related application(Fault Detection and Diagnosis, Predictive Maintenance, etc)
• Participate in algorithm implementation at edge devices (various embedded platforms, programable logical controllers, etc.)
• Port and cross-compile carrier tools for various platforms
• Evaluate and analyze HVAC&R-related lab and field data
• Develop and evaluate models in Matlab/Dymola/Python environment
• Conduct system/dynamic analysis of Carrier products as a part of the R&D department

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrable experiences with embedded systems
• Knowledge of data analyticsand machine learning
• Proficiency of at least one programming language (e.g. C\C++, MATLAB, Python, or Modelica)
• Good communication in English (both written and spoken)
• Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong technical writing abilities to provide high quality documentation and standard work
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in HVAC-related, thermal fluid, or thermodynamic applications
• Experiences with statistics, signal processing, control theory, numerical methods or optimization
• Experience with Python ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, Tensorflow)
• Experience with Cloud computing/IoT
