Integrated Product Support (IPS); which encompasses systems engineering analyses and planning tasks for communication and aviation electronics solutions. Act as a core member of a program Integrated Product Team (IPT) providing advice, and product. Technical complexity will include the twelve elements of integrated product support, for electronic communications systems.

The candidate will work closely with Program Management, Technical Project Managers (TPMs), other Engineering disciplines (software, hardware, electrical, systems, RAM) and support staff to assure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of the product lifecycle. This position is opened to remote opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work independently with limited oversight, including but not limited to performing integrated product support element activities for Programs, Projects, or Products.
  • Understand and employ processes and tools used to perform Obsolescence management (OM)/Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) including development, evaluation, and selection of obsolescence mitigation plans
  • Develop and maintain internal data and simulation tools including those built in the O365 suite. Create and update existing simple to complex stored procedures. Understand and create Entity Relationship Diagrams and database documentation. Collaborate with users and requirements owners to design enhancements and debug issues. Architect new and re-architect existing database solutions.
  • Perform Life Cycle Cost/Cost of Ownership Analysis.
  • Perform Spares analysis and demand forecasting
  • Perform Trade Studies to illustrate cost/benefit of various support scenarios (Time and Material, Firm Fixed Price, Performance Based Logistics)
  • Perform trade studies/business case analysis for Support trades through the programs lifecycle
  • Interpret engineering drawings and supportability requirements are met.
  • Coordinate and lead discussions with project managers and engineering managers on resources and priority to complete required deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
  • S. Citizenship
  • Strong support modelling experience using Excel
  • Experience working with customers to define requirements.
  • Ability to travel 20%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understand and employ processes and tools used to perform Obsolescence management (OM)/Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).
  • Experience providing Supportability Engineering inputs to Logistics Management Information
  • Database and/or data science experience (Oracle, Access, SQL, Perl, Python, Ruby, R Project, VBASAP and Business Warehouse query design
  • Strong working relationship with Maintainability, Reliability, and Testability functional groups
