Job Description

Overall Purpose: The Associate Director of Data Analytics leads efforts to help marketers measure how their brand stacks up against the competition, while providing best-in-class insights into customer perceptions and ad creative evaluation. The metrics and KPIs that are measured help our advertising partners to determine success of DIRECTV Advertising campaigns and provides recommendations for future executions. The Associate Director of Data Analytics will have the unique opportunity to cover areas of research execution, strategy, and operations on a highly dynamic team.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to head of DIRECTV Advertising’s Primary Research & Thought Leadership team
  • Responsible for setting up, managing, analyzing, and reporting brand health campaign results and insights for addressable DIRECTV and DIRECTV STREAM advertising clients
  • Combines brand health campaign results with marketplace intelligence and consumer insights to craft holistic campaign investment narratives
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage brand health campaign results and vendor norms to develop prescriptive recommendations for clients and prospects
  • Partners with sales to align on campaign goals; ensures final reporting directly addresses client objectives
  • Manages vendor relationships and contributes to partner selection/RFI process when applicable Presents findings to sales and clients; synthesizes key takeaways from reporting deliverables
  • Serves as subject matter expert on brand health reporting; able to speak to historic campaign performance, best practices, and research methodology
  • Works with manager to identify ways to streamline processes to achieve operational excellence and assists with other thought leadership projects on an ad hoc basis


  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional vendor and project management skills
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to craft and confidently deliver compelling reports and presentations to internal and external audiences
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights and formulate best practices
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing and working with a larger team
  • 8+ years of marketing research experience with qualitative market research experience, or equivalent educational credentials
  • Interest in media, advertising, and marketing
  • General awareness of ad industry news and trends


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Advertising, or Marketing
