Job Description
- Manage the end-to-end life of data science development efforts which support the launch of technologies and processes that support our data center supply chain and logistics.
- Provide supply chain business context and strategic direction to the data science development team to steer work in the right direction.
- Plan and run weekly sprint meetings (sprint planning, retrospective, stand-ups).
- Plan and run biannual development roadmapping process (sizing workshops, backlog grooming, request scoping, resource allocation, request prioritization, roadmapping exercise).
- Manage scope, schedule, and quality of high visibility data science projects through the entire lifecycle (request intake, requirements gathering, deliverable development, feedback collection).
- Develop crisp materials for executive readouts with leadership and lead these sessions. Prep in advance with stakeholders as necessary.
- Organize and maintain internal reference documentation (repository of dashboards, best practices, FYIs).
- Structure and drive User Acceptance Testing (UATs) for development work.
- Provide regular program updates, align teams on goals, set clear expectations, and proactively convey risks. Be able to communicate work to both technical and non-technical audiences as appropriate.
- Create and document development management standards on best practices for running a development team.
- Build relationships as appropriate with key stakeholders to grow the maturity and scope of the data science program.
- Work with both internal and external stakeholders to document business requirements by engaging the business to capture clear functional design artifacts using techniques like use cases, systems/data diagrams, and process flow diagrams.
- Gain business and some technical context of the analytical problems being solved by the data science development team.
- Build, refine, and maintain knowledge of the end-to-end development roadmap. Track progress while proactively identifying and escalating risks as appropriate.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of work experience in (or combination of): program management, analytics, management consulting, or scrum master.
- Experience in supply chain/logistics functions: material planning, asset management, inventory management, or transportation.
- Experience working autonomously, managing multiple work streams, and self-prioritizing personal tasks.
- Experience within the data science and/or analytics space. Experience with spreadsheet modeling. Familiarity with database capabilities.
- Experience leading large, cross-functional programs.
- Experience in influencing stakeholders and partner teams to align outcomes.
- Experience in evaluating, defining, and improving end-to-end processes.
- Experience in handling PM responsibilities (prioritization, planning, scheduling, status reporting).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum certification.
- Experience with data centers.
- Experience with Tableau and SQL.
