Job Description

Grade I Responsible for supporting the delivery of business analysis and consulting processes and procedures for the defined specialism using basic technical capabilities, developing working relationships to provide support with queries, issues and ad-hoc requests and assisting with quality assurance services. Specialisms: Business Analysis; Data Management and Data Science; Digital Innovation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure development, delivery and completion of all Data Management activities and milestones are aligned to the agreed timelines and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Monitor and communicate project progress to the Sponsor and Programme Management team, provide project status report updates with associated tracking metrics/KPI’s.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, data specifications and documentation in line with the Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Provide mentoring and support to data management, and act as a subject matter expert.

  • Help to support delivery of the Data Management strategy across the various business entities and systems.

  • Keep up-to-date with current technology trends related to Data Management and ensures any new innovations are assessed for future use within the programme.

  • Work with other Data Management streams and stakeholders to share knowledge, leverage business improvement opportunities and ‘Lessons Learned’.

  • Support the project team by providing technical guidance, functional knowledge, and by handling issues and risks.

  • Provide deep data domain knowledge and business context around systems, data sources and data products.

  • Hands on experience with some of the SAP products preferable e.g., SAP ECC and have Some Finance exposure.

  • Hands on experience with Common Enterprise analytics tools e.g. Spotfire, Power BI etc.

  • Hands on experience with Cloud tools e.g., Azure, AWS etc.

  • Have the ability to work independently and communicate confidently with a range of diverse, senior stakeholders

  • Hands-on experience of Data Management and associated Data Governance activities in large complex organisations

  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Be customer-centric and pragmatic, focus on value delivery and swift execution, while maintaining attention to detail

  • Apply your knowledge of data management and governance across all data lifecycle stages.

  • Have a deep understanding of data models, data standards and processes.

  • Be experienced in delivery of data products within cloud platforms.

  • Skilled and experienced user of Power BI alongside all standard MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Have SQL, scripting (in R or python) and big data technologies is a plus.
