About the job

As a Group Manager, Data Engineering, you use modern data engineering techniques and Advanced Analytics methods to give your clients the information they need. You collect, aggregate, store and reconcile data from multiple sources, helping to design and build data pipelines, streams, reporting tools, data generators and a whole range of tools to provide information and insight. You know how to read the patterns and trends that influence business outcomes.

Day to day you will:

• Developing and implementing an overall data strategy that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes blue printing of data ecosystem , data model patterns, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems.
• Conduct workshops to drive data strategy among various stakeholders
• Guiding the delivery team to implement the data program
• Ability to arrive at Ballpark estimations and reviewing project staffing to implement analytics solution
• Performing various presales activity and working with Partners for GTM strategy
• Managing end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution.
• Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system.
• Defining and managing the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization.
• Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
• Conducting a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders

Your skills and experience include:

• Transforming business needs into technical solutions
• Mapping data and analytics
• Data profiling, cataloguing and mapping to enable the design and build of technical data flows
• Use proven methods to solve business problems using Azure Data and Analytics services in combination with building data pipelines, data streams and system integration
• Sound knowledge of .NET C# and T-SQL, and familiarity with U-SQL
• Knowledge of multiple Azure data applications
• Experience in preparing data for and building pipelines and architecture.

You probably have a Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as computer science, applied mathematics, statistics or machine learning – or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You’re likely to be a Microsoft Certified Application Developer, Solutions Developer and/or Database Administrator already, and you have been in a similar professional position for around five to seven years.
