As a Data Architect at Avanade, you will use comprehensive modern data engineering techniques and methods with Advanced Analytics to support business decisions for Avanade clients.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• You will manage Data Governance in the enterprise and improve data governance, data quality and master data practices.
• Analyse current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics PaaS Services.
• Act as an Advisor for Data Governance processes, frameworks, standards, and architectures
• Delivery of architectures for transformations and modernizations of enterprise data solutions using Azure cloud data technologies.
• Design and Build Modern Data Pipelines and Data Streams.
• Design and Build Data Service APIs
• Develop and maintain data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures and relational/non-relational databases for data access and Advanced Analytics.
• Support the planning and implementation of data design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance and performing needs assessments.
• Expose data to end users using PowerBI, Azure API Apps or any other modern visualization platform or experience.
• Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.
• Travel as needed

Successful candidates will have the following experience:

• 5+ Years of relevant data platform experience
• Extensive knowledge of data base architecture, administration, integration, and development
• Significant experience with PowerBI, and Fluency in SQL
• Significant experience with real-time data, live streaming data, time-series data
• Significant full project lifecycle experience
• Competency in Python and/or Scala development
• Cloud Architecture

In addition to the above “must haves” suitable candidates will have at least some of the following skills and experience:

• Time Series Data Base
• Distributed Data Storage
• NoSQL
• Ability to develop rules for data QA and data cleaning and structuring prior to applying analytics
• Ability to automate data QA
• XML, JSON file formats
• Azure storage and analytics services
• Data Science and AI/ML modelling 
• Mining - Production Allocation, Supply Chain, SCADA.
• For a candidate without Mining Industry experience, other high through-put with low-latency and minimal fault tolerance industry experience would be helpful such as:
• Manufacturing
• Retail
• Health
