Founded in 2015, Bowery Farming is on a mission to democratize access to high-quality, local, safe and sustainable produce. We build smart indoor farms near cities, growing fresher, pesticide-free Protected Produce with bold flavor in precisely controlled environments, 365 days a year. At the heart of each farm is the proprietary BoweryOS, which integrates software, hardware, sensors, AI, computer vision systems, machine learning models, and robotics to orchestrate and automate the entirety of its operations. About The Role:

We are looking for an Engineering Intern to support our Farm Design team to improve the functionality of one of our key automated systems and create a process to better implement the technology in future farms.

 This is a 12-week, full-time (June-August) summer internship based out of our HQ in NYC, and will require some travel.

What You’ll Do:

• Gain experience in project management, cross-functional coordination, process improvement, and processing/packaging technologies used in the indoor farming industry.
• Use problem-solving skills to simplify complex problems to better prepare Bowery to implement technology.

• Inquisitive, creative, detail-oriented, and have strong communication skills
• Willing to jump in and immerse yourself in a new technologies
• Not afraid of trying and failing and trying again. Much of what we do hasn’t been done before, so learning from failure is a part of the process!
