Job Description

As Lead Data Engineer, you’ll stay busy doing some pretty amazing things. Your key responsibility will be to design, develop and maintain our analytical Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, using AWS, AirFlow, Snowflake, and other technologies. But you’ll get to do much more than that, such as:

  • You’ll support your team with things like onboarding and monitoring of new ETL processes.
  • You’ll ID and develop approaches to improve the reliability and efficiency of data and everything that goes into it.
  • You’ll analyze data in the data lake so you can help out with troubleshooting and resolutions as needed.
  • You’ll work with our tech team to share analytic needs and to integrate processes
  • You’ll prep documents and reports that share the inner workings of the solutions you and your team create, and share those with our leadership team
  • You’ll train and coach other team members
  • You’ll keep on top of the latest trends in the industry, and ID new capabilities so you can make our processes sing.

What’s In It For You?

Really good question, and we have some good answers that we hope you like.

  • We want you to feel cared for and respected(like you do with our customers), and that starts with Cox’s highly competitive pay and other compensation perks (401k + company matching, comprehensive medical benefits, etc.). We also offer Cox discounted services, tuition reimbursement for academic pursuits, adoption assistance, paid time off to volunteer, childcare and eldercare resources, pet insurance and much more.
  • Good work should be rewarded, and not just with a healthy paycheck. The Cox culture is one that values people more than technology, so it’s our goal to make sure you feel recognized for your contributions. It’s also important to work alongside colleagues who “get you.” At Cox, you’ll find a workplace where relationships are crafted with care and successes are celebrated with high fives. We strive to create an environment where you can do you, and everyone from leadership to new hires can support and feel supported.
  • Growth is a good thing, and you’ll have opportunities to learn and train so you can sharpen your skills and explore opportunities across the Cox family of businesses that will continue to challenge and empower you. In the future, you may have the opportunity to cultivate customer relationships in other sectors where we operate like cleantech, health care and new forms of transportation mobility.

  • Developing on the AWS platform and performing continuous integration are also tasks you’re comfortable with.
  • Working with diverse business teams is second nature for your collaborative, people-driven personality.
  • You’re a rock-solid communicator, and can comprehend and discuss analytics, business insights and implications with the best of them.

While the rest of these aren’t a must, it would be great if you could check a few of the following boxes as well:
