Job Description

Your role in our team

At the core of our efforts to accelerate the energy transition, you play a vital role as a Data Engineer. Together with customers, colleagues and partners, you work on developing and implementing solutions that are not only technologically advanced, but also smart and sustainable. You do this by working closely together in a multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Engineers and Architects. You contribute to building and maintaining robust data platforms and play a key role in the architectural design of new projects.

Together you translate the latest trends in both the IT and energy industry into practical and innovative solutions that help our customers realize their sustainability goals. Your contribution fosters a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration, focused on achieving the best possible results in our mission to support the energy transition with smart data-driven solutions.

How you strengthen our team

You have a passion for data and innovation and are well informed about the latest developments in your field. Data is your driving force. You are naturally curious, proactive and can easily win others over to your ideas. In addition, you are active in sharing and developing your knowledge within your field. You have an Agile mindset and experience working in an Agile environment.

Furthermore, we require:

• A completed HBO or WO education with a relevant field of study (e.g. software engineering, data science or similar).
• At least 3 years of work experience as a Data Engineer.
• Demonstrable experience and up-to-date knowledge of software engineering, with a strong focus on data management: including expertise in data extraction tools, as well as familiarity with the most commonly used data lake, data warehouse, and data management principles, methodologies, and techniques. • Demonstrable knowledge
• and experience with Big Data concepts and (Cloud) technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka, NiFi, NoSQL, SQL, Python.
• Preferably work experience with data engineering, ML and analytics platforms such as; databricks, snowflake or Azure Synapse (Fabric).
• Experience working in Agile DevOps teams and knowledge of CI/CD principles.
• Good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing.

Of course, it is also possible to expand your knowledge in this field through training and to obtain certifications, we give you all the space to do so. In addition, you are a team player and you are willing to help your colleagues to grow further in the market.

Where will you end up?

Within our energy services unit, everything revolves around the energy transition. You will work in teams of up to 15 people, so you will always receive the necessary support. We focus on the latest developments in the energy market and strive for CO2 neutrality in society.
