As a Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d), you use your experience and skills to develop end-to-end solutions in the areas of data engineering, machine learning and MlOps with your team. You help your customers automate critical business processes using the latest technologies.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• You are the technical contact for our data science team, motivate and lead our employees in projects, develop and are responsible for optimal service for our customers
• You design and develop end-to-end AI solutions for our customers, which include data engineering, model development and provision of the models.
• You act as an interface between the specialist department and IT in demanding and varied project work.
• Using methods from mathematics, computer science and statistics, you gain information from large amounts of data that can be beneficial for our customers.
• Where others only see a data jungle, you recognize patterns, connections and process optimization approaches.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Do you have extensive experience as a senior data scientist and in leading development teams, ideally have a degree in (business) computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics or a comparable course of study and are experienced in the conception of solution architectures in the data science / ML environment? Then we should definitely get to know each other.

And if you nod your head at some of the following topics, then our meeting should be really exciting:

• Broad understanding of machine learning methods and algorithms with: classification methods (KNN, SVM, decision trees, logreg, etc.), clustering methods (DBScan, KMeans, etc.), regression methods (Lin Reg, LSTMs, etc.)
• Experience with LLM applications, retrieval augmented generation, and common frameworks in the LLM environment (Langchain, LangGraph, LangSmith, AutoGen)
• You are familiar with the frameworks / libraries of the Python data science stack (e.g. Keras, Tensorflow, Numpy, Pandas, sklearn, PyTorch).
• You have in-depth experience in an ML area, e.g. image processing, audio processing or NLP
• You have experience in preparing and analyzing data, as well as in the design and implementation of data pipelines.
• As a machine learning engineer, you have already gained experience in the end-to-end development of AI applications
• You are familiar with MLOPS principles for correcting drift in productive models, and you are familiar with MLOPS tools for documenting and versioning models and artifacts (e.g. MLFLOW, Langfuse)
• You have experience in the development process of software applications (testing & deployment, source control) and you are familiar with DevOPS principles
• You have experience with Docker and in the development of REST APIs
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS or GCP) is a great advantage.
