IT Digital Transformation Engineer

Supports the development and deployment of digital transformation solutions based on the application of AI, data engineering and data science technologies to solve business challenges. Understands manufacturing systems and the data they generate in support of transformational solutions. Works under general supervision with work reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy. May take on moderate size projects or several components of a large project. Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy new fit-for-purpose digital solutions as a project team member.
  • Support the enhancement and success of existing digital solutions.
  • Accurately deliver project commitments on time.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to interact with project team members and plant customers in the testing and deployment of digital solutions.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships within the IT digital team and with appropriate digital project team members.
  • Engage with plant functions and teams to educate and enable a digital mind-set.

Education

Bachelors or degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or similar scientific degree.

  • 0 - 2 years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 60% to 70% of English
  • Skills & Knowledge
  • 0 - 2 years .NET knowledge
  • 0 - 2 years Programming languages C #, VB.Net, ASP MVC Web Applications, ASP.NET
  • 0 - 2 years Knowledge of TSQL (stored procedures, views, jobs, SSIS)
  • Experience with big data, data engineering, and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Technical familiarity of cloud data platforms like Databricks, S3, Parquet and Delta Lake
  • Understanding of the Data Lifecycle Management and ELT/ETL processes to collect, access, use, store, transfer, delete data.
  • Working knowledge of ML and MLOps.
  • Experience with GenAI and prompt engineering.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for digital technologies
