Job Description

As a Sr. Data Model Architect within the Data & Platform engineering organization, you will play a pivotal role in leading our efforts to modernize and optimize data assets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing hands-on support for data enablement and ensuring seamless integration of data assets into cloud solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of data architecture, bridging OLTP and analytics workloads, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage data modeling initiatives on key projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with solution teams to curate data asset integration and optimize key technology processes.
  • Bridge the gap between OLTP and analytics workloads by designing and implementing effective data models.
  • Provide hands-on support for data enablement, ensuring data assets meet the needs of solution teams.
  • Strong Experience in SQL, Data Modeling and Data Modeling tools
  • Experience in fact and dimensional modelling using Kimball and Inmon methodologies
  • Experience with data modelling for large scale cloud, MPP and big data platforms - Databricks, Spark SQL, Snowflake, Azure SQL database
  • Hands on experience in query/procedure writing for multiple RDBMS.
  • Understanding of data models designed for performance on the cloud
  • Understanding of Data Migration activities
  • Understanding of Performance tuning activities
  • Develop and implement data modeling standards and best practices.
  • Participate in the development of data architecture for new and existing systems.
  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries and other data governance documentation.
  • Experience in data transformations use cases will be a plus.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership by staying abreast of state-of-the-art technology trends and implementing best practices in data modeling.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to clients, business partners, and team members.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, addressing unique market challenges in talent attraction, development, and retention.
  • Maintain a strong focus on data security, leveraging deep technical security knowledge and expertise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience of professional experience in related IT field

Critical Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Data Modelling on Azure cloud environment under Databricks.
  • Deep technical expertise in data modeling, data architecture, and data integration.
  • Experience working with cloud solutions and contributing to data modernization efforts.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Commitment to data security best practices and standards.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare, distribution, or software industries is a plus
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience with a wide variety of technologies
  • Ability to rapidly learn and if required evaluate a new tool or technology
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science).

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$130,400 - $217,300
