About the Role:

As a Market Analyst for CMA’s Plastics Sustainability Service, you will be responsible for global research, analysis, and building models related to supply/demand, repositioning plastics waste, and carbon emissions for linear and circular production of plastics. You will also support insight development including global regulations, policies, and white papers covering topics related to circular plastics. You will report to the Director of Plastics Sustainability Service and the Director of Technology and Infrastructure Plastics Sustainability.

You Will:

  • Lead the preparation of models, data sets, and analytics for plastics sustainability service activities
  • Collect and organize regulatory and policy developments associated with plastics sustainability
  • Support preparation of content that positions the service with government and financial entities, industry producers, brand owners, retailers, NGOs and stakeholder alliances
  • Support preparation of content across the platform as a subject matter expert for analytical tools, process, and primary interface with the systems development for the service
  • Develop an understanding of the technologies for collection and sorting aspects of plastics waste and possible effects related to Industry 4.0

You Have:

  • At least 5 years' experience with data analysis, data modeling, and business intelligence/data visualization applications
  • Investigative skills and curiosity necessary to clarify and solve problems
  • Experience distilling and communicating complex content to non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems Management, Data Science, or relevant discipline (preferred)
  • Degree in chemical engineering or chemistry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the petrochemical value chain (preferred)
