What you will Do:

  • Design and apply cutting-edge signal processing and machine learning techniques to solve complex radar and RF sensing and counter-sensing challenges
  • Lead and inspire small, multi-disciplinary teams, guiding them towards success with your technical expertise and leadership skills.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams of talented individuals, bringing together different perspectives to develop and deploy prototype systems that push the boundaries of what's possible.
  • Dive into the intricacies of advanced RF systems by designing and implementing models and simulations, ensuring our solutions are robust and effective.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their unique requirements and national security needs, shaping our solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Drive business development initiatives and support proposal writing efforts, playing a key role in shaping the future direction of our projects and organization.

Who You Are:

  • This position requires an active Secret or TS/SCI security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government
  • 5+ years for PhD, 8+ years for MS, 10+ years for BS  
  • Experienced researcher and team member who is excited to work with mission partners to leverage cutting-edge technology and research for immediate impact
  • Excellent communicator and briefer, who is comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with radar and RF signal processing
  • Strong mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency in higher-level programming languages such as MATLAB and/or Python  

Nice to Have:

  • Demonstrated leadership of complex research, development, and engineering efforts  
  • Experience with radar and RF technologies in the defense sector, particularly for RF sensing and electronic warfare applications including electronic attack, electronic protection, cognitive EW, and advanced ESM techniques and algorithms
  • Experience with machine learning tasks such as natural language processing, image recognition, semantic segmentation, reinforcement learning, approaches such as Bayesian, deep convolutional and graph neural network methods, and tools such as PyTorch, Ray, TensorFlow/board, and MLflow  
  • Ability to survey literature to determine state-of-the-art, incorporate recent research and apply to current problem sets
  • Ability to apply novel, innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to challenging engineering problems 
  • Ability to create and present briefings to Customers and senior management to provide both high-level and deep technical solution explanations 
  • Understanding and experience in interacting with decision-makers and customers to translate mission needs into an end-to-end analytical solution
