Job Description

The Sr. Product Manager leverages their demonstrated product management experience to drive innovation, enhance user experiences, and lead cross-functional teams in optimizing the lifecycle of Nordstrom’s digital assets. You’ll work across industry-leading digital asset management solutions, such as Adobe AEM Assets, and proprietary applications to power the content pipeline that supports Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. Success in this position requires previous experience in digital asset product management and a balance of strategic thinking with tactical execution, with the ability to drive products from conception to implementation and continued evolution. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Asset Management Product Strategy: 

  • Drive and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that is aligned with company goals and business priorities
  • Develop the digital asset management (DAM) strategy and prioritized capability roadmap by partnering with leaders from various Nordstrom business units, and other Product and Engineering teams
  • Organize digital asset management quarterly business reviews with Adobe along with business partners to align Nordstrom's digital asset management strategy and business goals with Adobe’s product roadmap
  • Be the digital asset management product evangelist by acting as the champion for the future of DAM products both internally and externally to Nordstrom, and ensuring a deep understanding of their collective value proposition

Market, Technical Industry and Customer Research: 

  • Stay up to date on technology and advances for digital asset management platforms to determine technology roadmap opportunities and when to upgrade existing software solutions, add automations and GenAI capabilities
  • Keep current with customer research, competitive landscape, and Nordstrom ecosystem to understand the needs and impact of digital assets to aid the customer journey

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business partners in Marketing, Digital Merchandising, and Nordstrom Photo Studios to understand their workflow processes, functional needs and how digital asset management services their overall businesses
  • Develop and maintain strong alliances with digital asset administrators and vendors to support product updates, configuration, asset management, and application governance
  • Partner with other Product Management leads across the Product Management organization to align digital asset management product roadmap or functional capabilities into larger cross-functional technology-supported initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Experience Design team to create meaningful digital experiences for our employees and customers
  • Partner with the Engineering teams to drive application development through technical requirements and user stories, day-to-day management of backlog and feature releases

Digital Asset Product Management:

  • Design, develop and manage activities for a suite of digital asset management products and integrated systems from planning through production, release, maintenance and end-of-life
  • Lead the discovery of new products, researching industry-leading product solutions, assessing and assisting in determining procurement or in-house creation/development of applications, and driving integrations with existing systems within the Nordstrom technology ecosystem
  • Support digital asset product launches along with technical project management for planning, scheduling and execution
  • Analyze product performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvements
  • Facilitate the resolution of risks, issues, and changes related to the product development life cycle, including but not limited to modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of the digital asset management product or product line

QUALIFICATIONS

The Basics:

  • 6+ years in the product management discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to inspire others, including demonstrated experience managing and leading strong teams
  • Ability to partner effectively to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities
  • Technical background and understanding of software development principles, including Agile development, and testing methodologies
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical material clearly to users with varying levels of proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to various levels within a matrixed organization
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills

Preferred: 

  • Digital Asset Management experience within a large corporation or retailer
  • Working experience with Adobe AEM Assets Cloud Services
  • Preferred experience implementing third party tools/SaaS for internal business users
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $130,000 - $201,500 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
