Job Description

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise to drive data-driven decision-making, develop predictive models, and uncover actionable insights in the field of supply chain materials. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategy and optimizing our materials operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Lead in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within the supply chain materials data, offering valuable insights.
• Predictive Modeling: Develop advanced predictive models and algorithms to optimize inventory management, demand forecasting, and materials procurement.
• Data Visualization: Create intuitive and informative data visualizations, and collaborate with analysts to design reports, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Hypothesis Testing: Design and conduct experiments simulations to test hypotheses and evaluate the impact of supply chain materials strategies.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain analysts, procurement teams, and other departments to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
• Model Deployment: Deploy and maintain machine learning models in production environments, ensuring scalability and real-time decision support.
• Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts in data-driven methodologies and best practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest data science techniques, tools, and technologies, and propose their application in supply chain materials.

Qualifications:

• Masters with 7+ years of experience or Ph.D. with 4+ years of experience in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a data scientist, preferably in supply chain or materials management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong mathematics
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Expertise in machine learning (supervised and unsupervised), predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib, Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
