The Product team is the team responsible for developing Cognite Data Fusion as a robust and scalable platform for solving industrial data problems at Cognite. The industrial data problem is at the heart of transforming asset-intensive industries to be safer, more sustainable and more profitable. Cognite’s Cognite Data Fusion makes the operational data available at scale and adds value to the data through data processing. This enables asset-intensive industries to make data-driven decisions. Our platform is built on many different technologies, each good at solving various challenges.

Role & responsibilities

  • Breaking down the requirements with the Product Manager and Tech Lead, turning them into execution pieces and finding the right sequence
  • Managing schedule, timelines, and milestones (i.e. Alpha, Beta, and GA)
  • Driving the tradeoffs between usability, GTM lead time, features scope, technical debt/investment (i.e. across UX/PM/Tech/GTM) to maximize value for our customers and Cognite
  • Drive end-to-end alignment from sales to delivery, security, and support
  • Managing internal and external dependencies arising from end-to-end alignment
  • Managing budgeting and resources
  • Managing in-market product performance in scope of the program (e.g. usage metrics, cost drivers, required delivery effort, as well as quality, reliability, security etc.), ensuring those metrics are measured, reported, reviewed and acted upon.
  • The principal TPM will be responsible for driving multiple AI product and program development, tracking budget on programs, stakeholder management, timeline, and deliverables.

We believe most of these should match your experience

  • Experience in running complex, cross-discipline and cross-department programs
  • Strong influencing skills: influencing without power (none will report to you), i.e. using different influencing skills and establishing your authority
  • Structured, thorough and detail oriented
  • Genuine interest in or direct experience on the full product lifecycle (product strategy, sales, delivery, adoption, support, sunsetting)
  • Experience in leading and managing Product Development teams, running sprints, scrums, making scoping tradeoffs and discussing technical options with Tech Leads and architects
  • Technical MSc degree or proven technical hands-on experience
