Job Description

As an intern in the Machine Learning Engineering internship program for Viasat, you will work alongside a diverse team of engineers dedicated to developing innovative, vertically integrated products and services for the future. Your primary focus will be developing tools to improve productivity and MLOps-related activities. You will collaborate with our expert machine learning engineers and data scientists to improve the efficiency of our AI workflows and develop high-quality full stack AI solutions that will have an enormous impact on multiple business areas, contributing to Viasat's success. The day-to-day

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that our tools meet their needs
• Build full stack solutions that are powered by AI

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics or a related field
• Experience with several statistical and machine learning models
• Experience with software development in Python, Java Script
• Ability to commit to a 12 week summer internship

What will help you on the job

• Pursuing a MS/PhD in a data-related fields such as Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or similar
• Knowledge of RF engineering, RF electronics, integrated circuits, electronics manufacturing, or digital communication systems
• Experience building full stack solutions
• Experience with MLOps
• Interest in or desire to work on a wide variety of projects

Salary range

$21 - $66 / hourly
