WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Are you looking for an internship or a topic for your master's thesis in a production technology environment? Then you've come to the right place. We are looking for motivated students (f/m/d) in the area of ​​digital transformation at the Hilti production plant in Thuringia, Vorarlberg for a period of approx. 6 months.

You will gain an insight into a unique production environment of an internationally successful company that is heavily involved in the topic of Industry 4.0 and future-oriented issues in the area of ​​digitalization. In your internship/master's thesis you will specifically deal with the topic of technology innovation and how we can use it to optimize our manufacturing processes.

The Hilti Group supplies the construction and energy industries worldwide with technologically leading products, system solutions, software and services. Our factory in Thuringia (Vorarlberg) with around 600 employees is the manufacturing competence center and is considered the lead plant for digitalization, machining and assembly.

WHAT ARE YOUR TASKS?

During your internship/master's thesis, you have the chance to actively participate in the digital transformation of our company. Because you will become part of our digitalization team, which focuses on outside-in innovation, visual assistance systems, data visualization, machine learning and manufacturing apps, among other things.

The rapid progress in digitalization means that proven products and services are being replaced by innovative technologies. The challenges that come with these innovations place new demands on innovation management. In your internship/master's thesis you will therefore deal with the topic of Technology Innovation and the associated question of whether and to what extent artificial intelligence (AI) can support us as a production plant. Your main focus is on researching the possibilities and challenges in the structured and early identification, evaluation and introduction of novel and innovative technologies in the production environment. What is crucial here is whether and how AI-based search agents can help us discover and ultimately introduce the right technologies at the right time. Our goal remains to make the manufacturing processes even more efficient in order to improve the quality of our products and further expand our competitive advantages

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:

• You already have your degree under your belt or are in the middle of your master's degree and are interested in writing your master's thesis with us - preferably with a focus on industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or similar
• You can demonstrate very good academic achievements
• You have a strong interest in advanced and novel production technologies - both digital and analog - and already have knowledge of data processing and programming
• You score points with your structured way of working, quick comprehension and out-of-the-box thinking
• You are a communicative and proactive personality who enjoy working in a team
• You have good written and spoken German and English skills

Your active commitment will be rewarded with a gross monthly salary of €2,426.23 (full-time basis) according to our KV for the metal technology industry.
