Job Description

As a lead data platform engineer on the Business Analytics and AI team, you’ll support Snowflake and assist with developing solutions that meet business needs, integrating it with other tools that are part of the platform, and provide troubleshooting/production support for multiple departments with various levels of experience. You’ll use your software engineering skills to build complex data platforms, handle system design and manage performance testing for internal use by hundreds of data professionals. You’ll collaborate and negotiate with other teams like Legal, Security and Control. You’ll also onboard new users, provide organizational change management, and use your influence to be successful on this team. You’ll be responsible for providing a high availability, high quality, self-service solution in our data cloud environment that enables teams in all areas of the business to build and maintain data products.

This is a remote position.

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum of five years of work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications.
  • In lieu of degree, minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with Python, dbt, Fivetran/HVR, Prefect, Linux environments and shell scripting
  • Experience with Cloud-based infrastructures (preferably AWS) and data pipeline orchestration frameworks.
  • Proven experience in design, build, version control (GitHub), containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and support of complex data pipelines
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL

Compensation

  • $132,600- $163,000/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
