Job Description

We're looking for a strong Data Engineer to drive our mission to unlock potential of data by consistently innovating, enforcing standards and principles, defining and maintaining the architecture for data ingestion, transformation & load processes for the organization. You will raise the bar on technical excellence, show thought leadership, and communicate well with different audiences while leading the reporting strategy and solution engineering.

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

• Drive engineering practices for data environments that enable data collection, ingestion, storage, and processing of large data sets.
• Building scalable & efficient data pipelines for real time analytics.
• Contribute to the design and growth of our Data Products , Operation Data Stores and Data Warehouses for Data analytics and Data Science
• Drive automation and efficiency in Data ingestion, data movement and data access workflows by innovation and collaboration.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to help them build scalable products in quick time.
• Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Architects and Data Engineers to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions.
• Help architect high performing data solutions/frameworks and define data models for the underlying data warehouse and DataMart.
• Completely proficient in complex SQL coding language, Python/PySpark/Java and new languages and coding practices
• Drives coding patterns and best practices. Performs pull request code reviews and provides feedback to engineers and leadership.
• Defines and utilizes code repositories. Defines standards for comments/check-ins. Expert in CICD pipelines, able to mentor and guide others to adoption and use.
• Stay up to date on the latest technologies and industry leading approaches in the field of data and software engineering.
• Perform assigned tasks and production incidents independently.

Qualifications:

• 10+ Years of experience in building large Datawarehouse / DataMart’s and Data Visualization.
• 5+ Years of experience in ETL tools like Matillion / DataStage / Informatica / Talend
• 5+ Years experience in using AWS Services like Kinesis Streams, Lambda, Athena, RedShift, S3, DMS, SQS, SNS, Elastic Cache and EKS
• Strong knowledge in Java, Python, SQL, NodeJS
• Identify the opportunity for automation and design/build the end-to-end solutions.
• Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies and perform POC to explore best solution for the problem statement.
• Strong skills in writing SQL queries using databases like Redshift, Microsoft SQL Server, or other industry leading RDBMS.
• Proven ability to serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on future-proofing big data infrastructure and business strategies for cloud environment.
• Ability to be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
• Good written and verbal communication skills along with strong relationship, collaboration skills and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task across different initiatives, interface with external vendors & internal resources and provide technical leadership to other team members.
• Experience in building large scale Operation Data Store enabling real time analytics.
• Experience in working with virtual & global teams across different time zones.
• Experience of working in Agile teams
• Experience in payment industry
• Exposure to visualization tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense, Business Objects or Microstrategy etc.

Benefits:

Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $116,180.00 to $174,600.00

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $147,410.00 to $174,600.00
