Job Description

SiMa.ai is looking for a Senior Field Application Engineer to join our leading machine learning software and semiconductor company to work with the Business and System Applications team. This is a customer facing role and requires excellent multi-tasking skill, organization skills and technical skills. Internally, you will be working with leading-edge MLSoC architecture, Application engineers proposing solutions to customers for specific use cases.

Roles and responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Responsible for Pre Sales support for all India customers
• Work with customers to understand end applications, use cases and propose appropriate products/solutions from SiMa.ai
• Guide and support customers in product evaluation and solution deployment processes
• Keep informed of emerging trends in Embedded Edge AI markets and ML needs, mapping them to SiMa.ai’s MLSoC and capturing/communicating product requirements for these emerging trends into engineering
• Train customers and present SiMa.ai in various industry events/conferences
• Work as technical advocate to Sales team and customers
• Highlight key issues for customer adoption and work with internal teams to address those
• Represent SiMa.ai in various events/conferences
• Excellent face-to-face presentation skills to customers and large audiences
• Good teamwork capability and ability to work autonomously

Desired background, qualifications, and skills:

• Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science/Electronics engineering with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Solution development for ARM based SoC with features such as PCIe, Ethernet, Video etc.
• Demonstrated experience in AI/ML and Computer Vision applications development and best practices
• Experience in board bring-up, debug and key considerations for system level solution development
• Exposure to ARM SoC based HW-SW co-design
• Experience in C/C++/Python, device drivers, SDK
• Exposure to deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with software development in a Linux environment
• Experience designing and implementing solutions for Computer Vision applications
• Self-motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Good communication skills, strong team player and be able to work in a fast-paced startup environment
