Job Description

The Senior Talend software engineer for large-scale data integration works across multiple departments, vendors, clients, and other partners. In addition, they mentor and train staff, manage and operationalize CI/CD processes, coordinate with technology operations, and more.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document Talend ETL processes, technical architecture, data pipelines, and performance scaling using tools to integrate data via Talend and ensure data quality in a big data environment.
• Provide thought leadership and mentor other engineers on data integration via the Talend platform.
• Manage Talend CI/CD and delivery process.
• Coordinate technology operations for the Talend platform including scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Travel requirements: Occasional, as needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of experience using Talend Data Integration ETL tool as a developer in a big-data environment
• 2+ years of experience with Talend runtime including Kafka and API development with Talend components
• Experience with Talend DI ETL across multiple databases and cloud vendors
• Experience with Structured Query Languages (SQL) including PL-SQL, T-SQL, and MSQL
• Experience with Talend CI/CD Process using standard code management and artifact management products

Strongly Desired

• Experience working across multiple departments and organizations
• Advanced working knowledge of API’s and messaging flows and technologies
