Job Description

  • Maintaining and updating test vehicles to the latest SW/HW levels.
  • Maintain vehicle scheduling and track hardware and software availability in order to complete tasks on time and minimize vehicle down time.
  • Update and maintain SW and HW on dedicated test vehicle to both released and pre-released levels.
  • The ability to flash ECUs, calibrate sensors, and perform ECU readouts is required, preferably having experience with DTS Monaco.
  • Maintain Advanced Driver Assistance Systems test vehicles and data logging equipment, calibrate sensors, write work orders for workshop to perform sensor replacement, and vehicle updates.
  • Update and maintain Measurement System (Linux)
  • Utilize experience in advanced troubleshooting of complex CAN/Flexray/Ethernet based network architectures.
  • Understanding back-end systems and vehicle connectivity tool chains, to trouble-shoot and fix vehicle connectivity issues.
  • Generate work orders to our workshop team to update hardware and wiring as needed, and coordinate with diagnostic experts and functional teams to perform software updates and ensure intended system functionality.
  • Systematically test and evaluate the performance of AD/ADAS systems, with a focus on US-market specific conditions. Collect measurement data to identify, analyze, and document potential issues found during testing.

Communication and Reporting.

  • Experience communicated within a global company. Ability to reach across time zones to request support and resolve issues with RD teams in Germany and India especially.
  • Keep regular communication with team members in order to stay informed on potential shifting timelines and software package readiness. Adapt updating, testing, and measurement plans accordingly.
  • AD/ADAS Knowledge: Knowledge of Automated Driving and Driver Assistance Systems. Knowledge of competitor systems and all AD/ADAS sensor technologies.

Automotive Development Knowledge:

  • Understanding of vehicle development process. Familiarity with vehicle networking architecture (CAN, Flexray, etc), common diagnostic tools and measurement systems such as CANoe, DTS Monaco, as well as ability to analyze and interpret diagnostic and fault measurements to trouble shoot issues.

Cross department communication

  • Ability to efficiently and independently work to complete their tasks on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Successfully schedule and coordinate their work with other team members, technicians, and drivers within the Tech Center
