Job Description

L&H Operations will focus on business acceptance and back office applications, with major transformational projects :

• Build and deploy an life individual administration platform in the US market (main market for the L&H business unit)
• Reengineer the treaty administration process
• Build and deploy a retrocession administration platform and integrated claims management process
• Support journey towards Agility

In this context, L&H Operations are seeking a senior project manager, with a significant experience in the insurance / reeinsurance sector, and preferably in Operations and back office functions.

The ideal candidate is a confident individual with good knowledge of operational processes in the Life & Health insurance / reinsurance industry, the candidate will need a successful track-record on in the insurance and reinsurance sectors.

Also, a strong structure and analytical mindset, is proficient in agile project methodology and has excellent communication skills and leadership qualities, within a true international context.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Project Manager key responsibilities within an Agile organisation

• Define the project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders, including the Product Owner and the Solution Owner
• Develop a project plan and build a team organization, favoring on agile methodology (squad organization, sprints, agile ceremonies, definition of the MVP and subsequent increments )
• Measure performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
• Ensure quality of deliveries, define and deploy adequate testing strategy

Foster use of agile project management techniques and tools within SCOR Life business teams

• implement project management best practices, explore methodologies and applications (DevOps, Miro, MS suite, other project management and collaboration applications),
• deploy within projects with business and IT teams

The candidate will work in close collaboration with all L&H stakeholders in various geographies, L&H operations team, SCOR IT, external providers.

Data Science

• Able to demonstrate an understanding of what is data science and what data scientists do

Agile / SCRUM Methodology

• Has got experience in setting up and leading an Agile project. This level is usually seen to be an expert with a certification in Agile and a SCRUM Master

QUALIFICATIONS

Required experience & competencies

Experience

• Project management (>10 years) with a material experience in the Insurance / Reinsurance sector and Agile methodology, preferably in a Life & Health business unit
• Material experience with insurance / reinsurance back office / administration systems and processes

• Ability to analyze requirements and reduce complex contents to the essentials
• Robust understanding of reinsurance administration processes
