Job Description

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. 

We are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer that can understand the intricacies of bringing together multiple complex systems into fully functional robots.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure requirements are being correctly translated into functional design architecture
  • Contribute to the architectural decisions of all of the different subsystems of the robot
  • Design high level build plans to ensure that all teams are unblocked
  • Have a complete understanding of all systems and how they come together
  • Help debug persistent issues that arise, in both hardware and software, during robot bring up and testing

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience in robotics or similar field
  • Master's degree in robotics or similar 
  • Ability to understand and debug complex systems
  • Ability to tackle problems in which you may not have expert knowledge
  • Understanding of how different subsystems (Controls, Electrical, Software, Mechanical) interact, and where they commonly have issues
  • Extensive experience developing and working with robots

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Ability to write C++, Python a plus
  • Ability to CAD a plus
  • Experience with Linux a plus
  • Experience with designing test plans
