The People Data Governance & Analytics Director is responsible for enabling Fortive with people data insights to make decisions now and for the future. This will be through setting the strategy, building a roadmap, implementation, and sustaining it. The role will establish data governance and security to ensure data quality. Initially, the role will be focused on establishing foundational data and reporting with a plan to scale and mature to deliver advanced analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build the people analytics strategy and roadmap with short- and long-term valued outcomes
  • Develop foundational data and reporting including back-end architecture and front-end user experience strategy
  • Drive strategic decisions with people data insights aligning with business strategy and priorities.
  • Partnering directly with senior leadership to understand and solution with data
  • Owning the digital solutions strategy for employees use of primary people data including tools used by persona
  • Develop and implement a technology framework for people data and analytics
  • Build and lead a team of analytics professionals through a organizational changes to better align our people analytics talent with our strategy
  • Partner closely other relevant organizations that can support and deliver advanced analytics
  • Support advanced analytics and research efforts across workforce strategy, diversity, talent lifecycle, employee listening and productivity practice areas
  • Establish data governance standards and best practices that maintains high data quality and security: Promote data consistency, accuracy, and completeness with data standards.
  • Develop an ongoing governance methodology that includes intake, prioritization to ensure work is aligned to business objectives
  • Drive the change from reporting to story-telling with real-time analytics and insights based on advanced analytic modeling and HR data science.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Deep understanding of HR processes and experienced with major redesign with proven ability to enhance the employee experience
  • Knowledge of underlying data structures and formats, including flat files, Excel tables, or relational databases to be visualized.
  • Have built a people analytics function from ground up including building tools, people and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work at varying levels and create solutions for all
  • Strong communicator and influencer, evidenced through moving the organization forward with evidence of change management methodologies applied
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously improve processes or eliminating inefficiencies
  • Ability to collect and synthesize information, making it relevant, understandable, and actionable for key stakeholders
  • Ability to balance and effectively prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Ability to translate raw data sets into themes and action plans. Utilizes data to tell a story and derives insights to inform workforce-related business decisions, identify gaps, and build/enhance existing analytics tools and reporting.
  • Strategy & Innovation: Advances the use of complex analytical techniques and statistical thinking across the People team by developing a long-term strategy and roadmap for People Analytics.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise around data governance best practices to protect and maintain high data quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree required in Engineering, Science, Business, or IT/Data or extensive analytic experience, including demonstrated expertise in building advanced analytics, business intelligence, and comprehensive data visualization experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience in a quantitative or analytics role such as Workforce Analytics, Data Science, or People Analytics.
  • Built, developed and led a high-performing team and culture with 10+ people; 5+ years in a leadership role preferred
  • Experience with HR systems; Oracle, Workday, SAP and data warehouse
  • Experience with people analytics systems such as OneModel, Visier and/or extensive use of development and data warehouse tools such as; SnowFlake, AWS, Azure, Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse, Python, Power BI, Tableau
  • Demonstrated experience in building operational reporting through to advanced analytics and delivering people insights to business leaders.
  • Extensive experience showing strong interdepartmental leadership with the ability to identify problems and develop and implement solutions.
  • Although remote candidates will be considered, candidates in Everett, WA or Pittsburgh, PA are preferred
  • Travel required of 20% to global locations

National: The salary range for this position is $140,600- $261,200
