Job Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist Intern to join our team! Develop AI-ML based models that leverage both structured and unstructured data to promote fleet readiness and worker safety. As a data scientist you will discover data trends that proactively enable calibration recommendations, guide sensor replacements, identify fleet with duplicate serial numbers and analyze calibration gas performance!

Responsibilities and deliverables

• Develop Machine Learning Solutions based on business specifications
• Filter and clean data, identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources, develop records or reports to assist in the compilation of reports that is used for process planning
• Work within a team and independently when needed
• Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs

Qualifications

Skills and work traits

• Minimum of Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science (or) related STEM degree from an accredited institution
• Experience using statistical computer languages like R, Python etc to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Experience working with and creating data architectures
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
