The Gelb Laboratory at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School studies Genitourinary Oncologic (GU) cancers, particularly prostate, kidney and other genitourinary cancers. Team members work in a highly collaborative environment that includes laboratory investigators, clinical investigators and computational biologists at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and hardworking post-doctoral scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in cancer biology and therapeutics with experience in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics/genomics or biochemistry.

Responsibilities

  • Seeking a candidate 
  • PhD, MD or MD/PhD in biological sciences or equivalent.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, team-centered mentality and most importantly a passion for investigating novel areas.
  • A strong background in statistics and biology. Experience managing and curating large datasets and with machine learning techniques desired.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Background in computational biology preferred.
  • Computational skills including computer programming highly desired.
