Our internally developed generative AI technologies are transforming both how we serve our client’s employees (e.g., effortlessly answering questions about healthcare benefits via chatbots) as well as how we service our clients (e.g., drastically reducing the amount of time it takes to onboard a new client).

What You'll Need:

• Demonstrated technical excellence across modeling disciplines relevant to large language models and generative AI (e.g., standard classifiers, reinforcement learning, transformers and GPT-based LLMs, action-oriented agent frameworks like reAct)
• Demonstrated ability to address systems-level topics (incl. experiment design/ management, uncertainty estimation, modeling toolchain/ data pipelines/ deployment/ monitoring)
• Experience with current deep-learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc)
• Experience with current transformer models such as BERT, GPT-*, Transformer-XL, etc
• Degree(s) in technical field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Software Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Sciences, Bioinformatics)

What We Would Like:

• Experience in healthcare- and retirement-related data a plus
• Experience in search systems a plus
• Experience developing in AWS cloud environment a plus
• Prior or ongoing research contribution to the NLP community such as papers, open-source projects, and/ or conference presentations a plus

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $137,700.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $204,800.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentive plans.
