KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Data Engineering to join our Audit Technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a product owner responsible for owning and driving the strategy, vision, and execution of various strategic data transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm in identifying and prioritizing data projects which align to the Audit business needs
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements; provide data engineering support to build data pipelines, data preparation and integration
  • Identify and evaluate leading products and technologies that can automate tasks and improve process efficiencies
  • Work with stakeholders to design and implement governance frameworks and products related to data quality, metadata management and datasets

Qualifications:

  • Minimum fifteen years of recent, progressive experience as a Product Owner, Data Product Manager, or similar role
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, accounting, auditing, business, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and data integration with a familiarity with machine learning concepts and algorithms
  • Proficiency in data manipulation tools and languages such as SQL or Python (200TEC)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with data visualization tools for example, Power BI; knowledge of data privacy and security best practices is a plus
