As a Data Scientist, you will work for the various Mediabrands labels to answer questions such as: 'How do we use the media budget as optimally as possible to achieve more sales?', 'How do we ensure that customers actually remain customers? ?' and 'Can we predict which campaign will perform better?'

About the position:

Part of the Marketing Sciences team is the Data Science team, consisting of data scientists, a data engineer and data analysts. We develop various econometric models, where Marketing Mix Modeling using regression analyzes is an important part of our business. Every day we work to take these models to the next level and continue to challenge ourselves with smart solutions. The work of a Data Scientist is anything but structured and standard. We expect you to come up with innovative ideas, delve deeply into the subject matter and share your knowledge with the team. As a Medior Data Scientist, we also expect you to be able to translate complex model results into useful insights for our customers and to have a proactive attitude in identifying opportunities.

As a Data Scientist, I have a unique position within a media agency. For all clients, data-driven solutions and decision-making are becoming more urgent by the day. As a result, I am often put directly at the client's table and I make an important contribution to the media strategy. In addition, I get There is also plenty of room to think about new products and data solutions, which means I am still really working on the models and theory from my training.

As a Data Scientist you work for both internal and external customers. For example, we work for the labels within Mediabrands and we try to substantiate and answer the questions of the consultants and strategists with data. At the same time, you also work for clients to help them make smarter marketing decisions.''

Skills and experience:

You are creative, innovative and enjoy helping our customers with their data challenges. You like to think about product development and you know how to explain our matter in Jip-en-Janneke language. In addition, you have a clear vision of the possibilities of data science/econometrics in general and within marketing/media in particular. You know how to convey this convincingly to customers and colleagues.

Furthermore you have:

  • WO diploma in a similar field such as Econometrics/Mathematics/Business Analytics
  • 2-3 years of work experience in a Data Science role
  • Experience in consultancy and working with different stakeholders
  • Good command of the Dutch language
  • Experience with Python or R.
  • Experience with econometric models
  • Experience with SQL (pre)
  • Experience with Snowflake (pre)
  • Experience with Marketing platforms such as Google Analytics (pre)
  • Affinity with marketing (pre)
