Data Analyst - 12 Month FTC

We’re looking for curious analysts interested in being considered for the Data Analyst role on the Badoo and Studio analytics teams and who are buzzing to solve impactful questions for exciting products in the online dating industry and beyond.

In this role, for half of the FTC you will support the General Manager and rest of the leadership team of Badoo with data insights on the effectiveness of our existing products, design tests for new feature performance, discover and diagnose trends, and much, much more. 

For the other half of the FTC you will support the General Manager and rest of the leadership team of Studio with data insights on the effectiveness of our new products as well as monetisation and marketing analytics. You will work closely with the founders of newly acquired products as well as with the product managers of brand new products created internally.

• You’ll be doing all the typical day-to-day tasks such as generating practical insights from the data, manipulating complex datasets, helping us understand how to improve and optimise our users’ experience to facilitate the creation of meaningful, equitable and healthy relationships 
• You will help uncover tactical and strategic insights and support experimentation to test the concept and validate the opportunity for incubation assets.
• You’ll collaborate closely with several teams including Badoo and Studio’s General Manager, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers, etc and all levels of seniority, so will have exposure to all of the team… PLUS, you’ll be building detailed, entrepreneurial and business-minded insights that directly contribute to the successful growth of Bumble Inc!! 

What we look for in a Data Analyst

We are looking for an analyst with expertise in SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, A/B testing, statistical knowledge, data visualisation and storytelling, etc, is entrepreneurial, gets excited about building from scratch, and is relentlessly experimenting in pursuit of building a product that users love. 

We’d love to hear from anyone with confidence in the following:

• Statistical modelling e.g. regression, classification, clustering, segmentation.
• Supporting experimentation analytics (e.g. A/B testing, user group testing): significance analysis, non-parametric methods, bootstrapping, causal inference.
• Engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders such as developers, product managers, and senior management. 
• Providing thought leadership to business leaders: identifying issues and opportunities, translating business problems into analytical diagnoses and delivering insights that answer the most pressing questions.
• Ability to quickly adapt & take the lead on new exploratory projects in a wide variety of areas including product overhauls and brand redesign.
• Supporting engineers and teammates in improving data quality, and specifying requirements for new data collection.
• Partner with the wider analytics / data science team to solve bigger business problems.
