Responsibilities:

  • Be the Data Scientist Consultant on a Generative AI Semantic Search for Cognizant clients. This will include ensuring the project is aligned with client requirements, delivering the project on time and on budget while working with multiple client and Cognizant stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain pipelines and ensuring data quality for machine learning tasks.
  • Apply statistical analysis and visualization techniques to various data, providing actionable insights to the business.
  • Use advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to deliver semantic search capabilities including pre-seeding and hyperparameter tuning of Generative AI models.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance machine learning algorithms and models to solve complex challenges.
  • Communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends, apply new and emerging Gen AI and semantic search technologies.
  • Be part of the leadership of a cross-functional technical team promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with a proven track record of leveraging data science to drive significant business impact.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in NLP, machine learning, and semantic search.
  • Extensive experience with machine learning algorithms, deep learning models, and AI.
  • Proficiency in Python, R or similar languages, and experience with data science and machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn etc.
  • Familiarity with data management tools (e.g. SQL, Hadoop, etc.) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically, work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Experience with AGI or related technologies.
  • Experience with Semantic Web technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL).

Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between?$109,030 - $160,610 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
