Our Team!

Together with our internal and external partners, the Middleware Engineering Team builds software solutions to uplift our system from open-source middleware frameworks to an automotive grade level, thereby providing contribution to Torcs way towards a safe product. Our software components ensure the seamless interaction between the virtual driver applications and the underlying hardware components such as high-performance systems on a chip, traditional automotive micro-processors and -controllers as well as sensors or actuators. Therefore, our task is to develop these interface SW components with AUTOSAR and DDS based middleware solutions to integrate the Virtual Driver into a traditional automotive environment.

What you'll do:

  • Development of a fusion algorithm which merges two camera images
  • Integration into existing lane detection algorithm
  • Prototypical implementation of the concept into a class 8 truck
  • Support in daily business of an international working team
  • We offer a Thesis (Master) in the field of Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Experience with ROS, DDS or similar middleware technologies
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • You enjoy working in an agile environment
