We are seeking a technical lead for the Discoverability team, to help lead the implementation of a new Developer/Science Portal at 84.51. This portal will be a single pane of glass through which technologists can access all of tools they need to develop software/models/insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Plans and implements new technologies and major releases for the most critical enterprise-wide IT cloud platform projects. Designs, implements, and deploys cloud computing systems to support and meet business needs. Identifies, recommends, and implements opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.
• Develops technical standards. Tests and evaluates IT vendor products. Reviews configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime.
• Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.
• Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements. Determines the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.
• Monitors and manages server health and functionality, access permissions, usage, events, and messages, and ensures the environment conforms to governance requirements and security standards.
• Implements security controls for portal solution, including secure authentication and authorization methods.
• Gathers and analyzes requirements from stakeholders, including assessing business needs and translating them into technical requirements.
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker)
• Experience developing enterprise search capabilities.
• Strong experience with modern application development workflows and version control systems
• Aptitude for solving technical and operational problem while driving multiple priorities and programs delivering against tight timelines.
• Azure, AWS or GCP experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
