We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to join our team. Candidates must the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for this role. Candidates must be able to work independently, be proactive and take responsibility for their deliverables.

This is a remote enabled position

Responsibilities:

  • Work with client business and policy stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve outcomes with data analysis techniques.
  • Develop a deep understanding of data sources and data normalization practices.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for data-driven applications and BI toolsets.
  • Interpret data and develop strategic recommendations for clients.
  • Deliver insights on potential areas of growth, optimization, and improvements.
  • Support business intelligence strategies with quantitative analysis.
  • Work cross-departmentally on data-driven strategies that improve decision-making.
  • Consult on complex data analysis by refining research questions and providing important context to the analyses.
  • Conduct advanced project research and manages aspects of project execution (may include design, methodology, data collection, analysis, and report preparation).
  • Lead the development and writing of technical documentation, reporting writing and the communication of results in collaboration with data scientists and BI Developers.
  • Present findings to client stakeholders.
  • Participate in prescribed Scrum ceremonies.
  • Obtain functional and/or technical certifications as deemed appropriate for specialization.
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly time entry compliance.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Understand Agile (Scrum) and Project Management methodologies and use these to manage both long-term projects and short-term tasks (no certification is required).
  • Create, refine and track user stories and requirements related to Business Intelligence toolsets and dashboards.
  • Manage stakeholder meetings to gain concurrence on solutions to complex issues.
  • Have familiarity with common BI Tools, such as QLIK, Tableau, Python and Databricks (no certifications are required, and you will not be expected to be a developer in this role).
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
  • Must have 2 experience years in a post-graduation, full time position. Experience can be from any field.
  • Be able to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
