We are looking for a Jr. Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. The Data Analyst uses data modeling and visualizations to help clients understand, interpret, and predict patterns in business, and then uses those data-driven insights to enhance their business practices and policies. Candidates must the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for this role. Candidates must be able to work independently, be proactive and take responsibility for their deliverables.

This is a remote enabled position.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business needs to technical specifications

• Design, develop and deploy BI solutions
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
• Craft and execute queries upon request for data
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms
• Present information through reports and visualization
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
• Manage the escalation and resolution of issues
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
• Aids testers and support personnel as needed to determine data quality and analytics platform issues
• Develop and update technical documentation
• Develop and maintain governance and processes for BI platform best practices
• Provide training and support to users
• Participates in prescribed Scrum ceremonies
• Functional and or technical certifications as deemed appropriate for specialization
• Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly time entry compliance

Desired Skills & Experience

• Data Science or Data Analysis related coursework or experience required

• Must have 2 years experience in a post-graduation, full-time position. Experience can be from any field.
• Applicable government or business consulting experience preferred
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• 1 year of programming experience (Python, SQL, R or similar) preferred
• Previous experience in business process improvement preferred
• Excellent Excel skills
• Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance within the federal government sector

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required
