• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

We are looking for a Bioinformatics Engineer proficient in:

• MS/PhD or 5+ years of industry experience in bioinformatics and/or data science roles
• Strong problem solving ability, adaptive, quick study on new life science domains (ie. genomics, proteomics, molecular imaging)
• Solid fundamental understanding of bioinformatics and data science concepts, statistics, algorithms and domain expertise
• Ability to design large scale, distributed software solutions, algorithms and pipelines
• Insatiable hunger for learning and problem solving 

Your impact:

• Develop core bioinformatics pipelines across numerous multi-omic life science datasets
• Ability to leverage and integrate industry bioinformatics best-practices, algorithms and techniques into a generalizable data platform (ie. running NGS pipelines)
• Create novel computational approaches and analytical tools to find patterns in highly dimensional life sciences data; distinguishing between signal and noise/bias
• Apply ML modeling techniques for various end-points, including patient clustering, clinical outcome predictions, batch effects, outlier/anomaly detection 
• Design and develop rigorous, fit-for-purpose computational platform that can produce repeatable, reproducible, validated studies
