Job Description

This position will manage a critical data efforts as we transform from EBS to Oracle Fusion and modernize other legacy offerings such as card factory. The role will be focused on operational data – master data, transaction data and data hierarchies that when coupled with process optimization efforts – will facilitate improved raw data for the data analytics and insights teams. They will work closely with the operations team as well as the data analytics/insights and various engineering teams to ensure a holistic enterprise data plan and roadmap to ultimately support the delivery of exceptional customer insights and experience – most immediately understanding data capabilities, democratizing data to enable data driven decisions across all segments of the business, confirming current architectural direction, developing leading solutions and creating a close partnership with the business stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • The Director will be expected to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement – particularly with respect to master data (FCM, HCM, SCM).
  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data strategy that aligns with Fanatics Collectibles strategic goals, leveraging prior experience from similar roles.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, including data standards, quality, and privacy to serve all components of the collectibles ecosystems.
  • Transform current data governance and quality practices with empathy for the teams undergoing monumental change and transformation.
  • Work closely with other implement data standards, frameworks and best practices for data collection, storage, integration and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, to identify data requirements and drive master/enterprise data cleanup and optimization efforts.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and data tools to enhance data capabilities and drive innovation.
  • Monitor data quality, identify data issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Staty abreast of industry trends, advancements and regulatory changes to enterprise data management.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement new technologies and improve master data infrastructure. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to data handling and privacy.
  • Communicate the value of data to stakeholders and promote a data-driven culture within Fanatics Collectibles.
  • Manage relationships with third-party data vendors, ensuring they meet our needs and comply with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer engineering, or related field of study.
  • Prior experience implementing/supporting complex data engineering, analytics and science functions preferred.
  • Working knowledge of network architecture, engineering and network technologies required.
  • A strong business acumen and ability to maintain budgetary control.
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership, communication, organization, and effective management of technology solutions.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, change management and problem-solving skills combined with demonstrated team management capabilities.
  • 10+ years’ experience working with enterprise data.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role focused on enterprise data management, data governance and data strategy. Work in a regulated environment a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of data management practices and principles, including data architecture, data modeling, data integration and data quality.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Rigorous attention to detail and highly organized, but able to operate with ease at all levels (from strategy to execution).
