Geotab is seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Product Analytics who will be responsible for the analyzes well-defined sets of data using a variety of different tools to answer tangible business needs and find meaningful insights. What you’ll do:

As a Senior Data Analyst, Product Analytics, your key area of responsibility will be to understand and translate product analytics metrics into queries and build dashboards and reports related to a wide range of Geotab products. You will need to work closely with the Data & Analytics and Product Teams. To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, have an eye for detail, good business acumen and ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts. Previous experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel or Google Analytics is a plus.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Examine large data sets to identify trends, develop charts, and create visual presentations to help businesses make more strategic decisions.
• Maintain data systems and databases.
• Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets and prepare reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions based on relevant findings.
• Write optimized SQL queries to find answers to complex business questions.
• Identify any data quality issues and partialities in data acquisition.
• Coordinate with the engineering team to gather incremental new data.
• Proactively identify trends in data as well as identify interesting correlations that suggest new product areas to invest in to increase our customer satisfaction.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the product analytics tool as well as google tag manager and guide other users on its efficient usage while monitoring the proper usage of the tools.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects for different stakeholders, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

What you’ll bring to this role:

• Post-secondary Degree/Diploma specialization in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5-7 years experience as a Data Analyst or a similar role.
• 5-7 years experience with SQL.
• Proficiency in one or more product analytics tools
• Experience working with big data and an understanding of techniques used to extract value out of very large datasets.
• Experience working closely with business analysts to arrive at data solutions.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to work independently and proactively
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve to well-judged decisions.
• Familiarity with dashboarding tools especially superset is an asset.
• Familiarity with Google Tag Manager is an asset.
• Past working experience in product analytics is an asset.
