Position Overview

As part of DoubleVerify’s Classification team, the Analytics Manager, AI Curation enables new DV classification products to go to market through analytics leadership. The classification team creates scalable products that ensure questionable or extreme content is not monetized, and that brand ads don’t appear on content they would like to avoid. To achieve this, the Analytics Manager will lead the team of product and data analysts that connect our labeling operations with the data science and ML product teams which develop classification systems. This is a critical role to facilitate the connection between the human and technological sides of AI product delivery, and develop a team of analysts to the next phase both technically and professionally. You’ll grow your knowledge of the ad-tech industry and social platforms globally, learn about ML/AI operations and take part in the development of new technologies, all towards the mission of making the online advertising ecosystem safer, more transparent and sustainable. 

In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must be:

  • A high-energy multitasker with outstanding verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficient at project management and prioritization under tight timelines and evolving requirements 
  • Tech savvy, with a deep understanding of approaches to automated content classification
  • Proficient in simplifying and presenting complex concepts to senior stakeholders
  • Experienced leading a small team of product and data analysts, ideally in a business deploying machine learning to solve complex business problems

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and mentor a team of 2-4 product and data analysts.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science team to prioritize analysis of machine learning products, manual labeling results, and client data.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between the AI curation team analytics group and other business units to ensure consistency of measurement across the company.
  • Identify & implement process improvements to measure and improve the impact of our analytics function.
  • Create, disseminate and update documentation on our data labeling platform and warehouse as it grows to support new product solutions.
  • Provide insight and recommendations on decision making for large scale product initiatives based on layered analysis. 
  • Identify and communicate data quality issues, and drive prioritization of measures to address them.

Skills & Background:

  • 6+ years of experience working as an analytics contributor supporting product and engineering teams. 
  • 2+ years’ experience managing, coaching and developing product and/or data analysts.
  • At least 1 year experience supporting product initiatives backed by data science approaches, either computer vision (CV) or natural language processing (NLP). 
  • Bachelor’s degree, in statistics, mathematics, information science, or other relevant technical field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Expertise in SQL & Python.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong and positive working relationships across multiple cultures and within a global environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Looker, BigQuery, and SQL warehouses. 
  • Hands on experience with big data platforms such as Databricks a plus.
  • Experience developing and deploying automated processes is a plus.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.

The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between [$83,000 to $158,000]. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
