Job Description

Your New Role and Team

Our Robotics Simulation team is looking to hire a Software Engineer. Reporting to the Simulation Team Lead, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of design, architecture, and implementation of our simulation platform and machine learning systems that power our general-purpose robots.

The best Software Engineer candidates for this role have comprehensive software development skills and hands-on experience with simulated environments. Ultimately, you’ll be a valued part of the team as you learn and adapt to new, sophisticated development environments, own solutions from design and execution through to deployment and support, as well as innovate best practices that drive continuous improvements in our robotic systems.

Our Success Criteria

  • Bring hands on Software Engineer experience in designing simulated environments
  • Gain cutting edge career experience as you develop physics/game engine tools that support our robotics system’s cognitive structure
  • Achieve company-wide visibility as you partner with other Software Engineers and leaders to ensure the smooth deployment of these tools, provide technical support to end users, and structure and keep technical documentation updated

Your Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields
  • 2-3 years of Software Engineer experience minimum
  • Knowledge of professional engineering practices for the full product life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source management, agile, processes, testing, and operations
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and test in a fast-paced environment

Skills

  • Recent and relevant knowledge of C/C++ programming language
  • Understanding of embedded development constraints
  • Familiarity with distributed design and experience with multithreading and concurrency
  • Have worked through the complete life cycle of building and sustaining high-performance robotic systems
