Job Description

Sanctuary AI–a multi award-winning LinkedIn Top Startup company–is seeking a Software Co-op student. Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, Simulation, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of design, architecture, and implementation of our simulation platform and machine learning systems that power our general-purpose robots.

The ideal candidates for this role have excellent software development skills and hands-on experience with simulated systems and environments.

• Bring hands-on experience working with high-performing teams on academic group projects and/or internships
• Gain cutting edge career experience as you support development and integration of simulation tools that work with our robotics system’s cognitive platform
• Expand your engineering experience as you contribute to development and/or integration of new software components
• Achieve company-wide visibility as you contribute to maintenance and evolution of our development and deployment tools

Your Experience

Qualifications:

• Pursuing or completing a bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, testing, and operations
• A track record of technical excellence and successful projects
• Ability to design, implement, and test in a fast-paced environment

Skills:

• Knowledge in the fundamentals of computer science, data structures, operating systems, and networking
• Understanding and passion for physics and robotics
• Competency in writing software in languages such as Python, C/C++, or similar
• Experience with 3D simulation software and/or game/simulation engines
• Exposure to CI/CD and Cloud platforms

$1,850 - $2,650 semi monthly

At Sanctuary AI, we provide above average total compensation. Our goal is to ensure fairness in pay and we strive to make the overall package highly competitive with current market rates.

The compensation and benefits details provided for this role in Vancouver, BC are based on Sanctuary AI's market evaluation and may be subject to changes in the future. Your pay within the specified range will depend on various job-related factors, such as your past work experience, relevant education, and performance during interviews or work trials.
