Role

We are seeking to hire our first Security Engineer to own the critical responsibility of ensuring our product and infrastructure efforts are well designed, secure, and hardened. This is an ambiguous space and the ideal candidate is excited to operate autonomously.

As a product security expert, you will lead and drive security design reviews and will work closely with Alphabet Security teams to respond to audits. Your contributions will be crucial to the success of our mission to make industrial robotics intelligent, accessible, and usable for millions of businesses, entrepreneurs, and developers worldwide.

How your work moves the mission forward

• Lead Incident Response efforts
• Resolve security, privacy and compliance issues
• Educate and coach teams in embracing security at the earliest stages of design 
• Champion security review initiatives enabling the broader team to release a secure, reliable, and hardened product

Skills you will need to be successful

• 4 year degree in Computer Science
• 4 years of industry experience working on a security focused role
• Programming: C++/Go/Python (focus on reading code)

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

• Experience with Linux, Networking, Cloud Platforms
• Threat assessment, vulnerability monitoring and/or pentesting

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $156,800 - 240,120 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
