Job Description

We are now looking for a manager for the Software & Hardware Acceleration section. You will be part of Video & Display Systems in Järfälla, which is part of the Aeronautics business area.

Your role

Video & Display Systems supplies high-performance HMI solutions for the Gripen, but also data communication and recording capabilities as well as R&D for the flying systems of the future. We are facing exciting challenges with an increasing business, while at the same time we have a need to further develop our ability to develop systems and products with good quality in efficient projects.

The Software & Hardware Acceleration section has around 15 employees who develop, among other things, software and PLD/firmware as well as platforms for hardware-accelerated functionality in embedded systems. The section is responsible for PLD, software and SoC with a focus on video and image processing and machine learning in safety-critical real-time applications for aviation. The section participates in research-related activities and needs the ability to be at the forefront of its technical areas.

You are driven by developing operations and personnel, and have an interest in technology and product but also in efficient working methods. The role makes high demands on the ability and interest in building networks and finding good and efficient forms of cooperation both externally and internally within Aeronautics. Your section collaborates closely with a parallel section that also has resources and expertise in software development.

Your everyday life also includes work as part of Video & Display Systems' management team and where you contribute to the overall optimization of the business.

Your profile

You are used to working in a business with strict delivery requirements and have the ability and interest in developing the business both in terms of quality and efficiency.

You have experience in leading both experienced and new staff and have an interest in understanding both products and technology as well as working methods to an applicable level.

You have a high capacity for collaboration and can also secure what is best for your particular business.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the regulations for security protection in force at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security class placement, where applicable, certain citizenship requirements may be required.
