Over the last few years, Bosch has established the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence (BCAI) as one of the leading enterprise research centers for AI. We are a motivated global team with the mission to incubate, create and roll out AI solutions to Bosch. We work closely with domain experts on exciting Bosch data sets for real-world applications to transform Bosch into a data-driven company.

  • As a group leader, you will lead our team of software and DevOps engineers dedicated to tool development. The team is missioned to increase the productivity and efficiency of all BCAI employees by implementing state-of-the-art processes supported by cutting-edge technology and automation to enable engineering and research excellence.
  • You will have a direct impact on exciting and latest AI solutions that fundamentally change Bosch's products and processes.
  • In addition, you define standards as well as principles for tool development and service operations within our team and larger parts of the organization.
  • Furthermore, you will foster a software engineering culture within our team. As a leader, you guide the team to make the best implementation decisions and minimize technical debt.
  • Last but not least, you will actively research emerging best practices in software as well as DevOps engineering for AI applications and drive their adoption in the organization.

profile

  • Education: excellent degree (Master/PhD) in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
  • Experience and Knowledge: several years of profound experience in large scale software production, eg development and operation of IT services, solution architecture for cloud and on-premise deployments, technical leadership, agile software development, DevOps, Configuration/Infrastructure as Code, UX
  • Personality and Working Practice: proactive, open-minded
  • Enthusiasm: for fully automated, tested as well as continuously deployed solutions and a working environment based on cutting-edge tooling, passion for technical solutions and software development, eager to coach and cultivate an engineering organization
  • Languages: fluent in English and German (both written and spoken)
