The Data & Analytics Business Architect will be a critical change manager to the Informa Connect group, responsible for interpreting and contextualizing strategy for operational needs across IT and Marketing. Customer-focused to your core, you will help visualize the data to map out Connect’s capability and technology based on user persona, bridging the gap between strategy and execution, streamlining and rationalizing the IT enablement process, and optimizing the customer experience from the inside out. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and data-driven, using systematic ways to create efficiencies across marketing and lead with data-backed decisions.

This position reports directly to the Director of Growth Marketing with dotted line reporting into our central transformation teams, and requires extensive collaboration with sales, brand and marketing directors and senior management across divisions. You will play a key part in synthesizing and creating synergies for the work of others, drawing from disciplines like business analysis, process management and operations to define the database and automation strategy across Informa Connect’s North American portfolio brands.

Primary responsibilities:

• Business Process Operations & Architecture

  • Work cross-functionally to assist in weekly and monthly reporting meetings, ensuring operational excellence while you serve as a central conduit across business functions 
  • Develop a business architecture strategy based on your awareness of various business scenarios and motivations across Informa Connect.
  • Partner with the central teams to ensure governance and alignment across systems and process
  • Define and update the set of strategic, core and support business processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries to improve reporting procedures.
  • Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data.
  • Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units, and the internal or external management of those groups.

Database Operations:

  • Manage data integrations between disparate Salesforce CRM instances and marketing related systems (marketing automation, reporting and data analytics applications)
  • Become an expert and act as the central liaison to IIRIS data repository on behalf of marketing team
  • Support the database needs of the entire Connect North America business, including but not limited to routine data hygiene, maintenance, acquisition, exploration.

Marketing Automation & Analysis: Working closely with both central marketing and directly with our central CMO, ensure all optimal and new innovative practices are aligned, and shared across the group. 

  • Develop, monitor and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing automation & CRM systems (Eloqua, Salesforce, et al) on behalf of the North America portfolio in line with Connect’s wider marketing tech strategy. Your overarching goal will be to streamline marketing efforts, better retain leads, increase conversion and attendance rates and improve the integrity of our IIRIS CDP and overall database.
  • Analyze data to monitor revenue performance and uncover areas for improvement.
  • Track and report on digital campaigns to understand customers digital behavior and how it is driving business decisions.
  • Provide reporting to respective brand teams and senior management against agreed performance measures, and provide insights on future strategies
  • Regularly prepare email reporting and share insights with central team and Head of Email Marketing to disseminate learnings and improve processes and practices across the group
  • Assist with extracting and actioning social media analytics
  • Assist with digital tracking, maintenance and testing
  • Optimize and improve marketing operation workflows to measure effectiveness, performance, and RO.
